Ever since bechara Supreme court passed an order that 'Bandh' announced by any person or party is illegal, Keralites do it in the name of its sibling 'Hartal'. Just a name change, thats it, everything else remains the same.
Since last 4 days private bus operators in Kerala are on Strike. I pity both Keralites and Kerala Government. Keralites because, they never ask the government to provide city bus service even though they know government has to provide this basic facility and finally public has to depend on private bus operators. Kerala Governement because, they just cannot provide good bus facility to public. I really wonder how can public depend so much on private bus operators? it is also possible that government might have taken public patience for granted. Keralites doesn't oppose to any strikes, any hartals, any bandhs. Public co-operate which in itself is like giving consent to such things. Even if a party or any organization with as small as 100 people call for strike, public sees that hartal or strike is 100% successful. Nowhere in this world can be strike/hartal as successful as they are in Kerala.
How many more days will this bus strike be? So many people commute by bus and with so few government buses it is just impossible to provide service to all. No bus runs without a slant of atleast 30 degrees. Every bus is overloaded and is running at some acute angle. When will this dead-lock between government and bus-operators end? Kerala had to celebrate its 50th birth annivarsery with its trademark - STRIKE (this time bus strike). How sad?
When there is hartal or bandh or strike, only people who smile are - VIDEO CD SHOP OWNERS. Sales zoom as everyone takes some movie CD or the other to pass time on hartal or bandh day. uff!!sorry; No bandh, only hartal here....

Well there is another class of people who benefit by the bus strike...
Me for example.. enjoyed the luxury of Company vehicle during these Strike days...
I believe many would agree...
Dont think am selfish in sayin so... at the same time i feel sorry for the state of affairs caused by the terrible strike policy..
Daily life affected for many..
Vehicle popluation rising, causing total chaos in the roads..
People tryin to rush home before it gets late.. hence lot of business affected..
the list goes on
