Somewhat HR and me are two poles apart or is it, in HR language, that I have developed a stereotype about this stream, department and people who work in this area. I just hate HR and look at the irony that I have to continuously be in touch with these people as part of industry integration study tour in-charge in my institute.
My experience both as a student then, and as a faculty now has never been nice about this HR department and people. What I dislike the most is that though they should really consider humans as resources, they treat them just like some trash. They behave exactly in an opposite manner of what and how they actually have to as they have been taught in their education and in their profession. In my experience, I have found that roughly 80% of the people I contact in HR are highly pathetic when they interact with people. I don't understand is this what they are taught in their B-school education, if it is then I'm lucky for not having opted HR as my stream.
In case if you want to understand what I mean, try calling HR department of some random company and try to talk to the person, you will regret for having tried this. Why and what I dislike more about this stream is that most of them are ladies and they treat anyone who calls them up in a manner as explained above. These ladies are disgrace to their gender more so for having undergone a course in HR. I really pity these people. I feel they just do not know what is the meaning of 'Human' let alone 'Human Resources'.
